It is mandatory for all drivers to have a Niuean driver’s license to drive any vehicle in Niue. We accept Full and Valid international drivers licenses during the signing process of our rental agreement, until you obtain your local drivers licence. If you arrive on the only Friday flight, you can drive in the weekend on the strict condition that you must attain a local drivers licence first thing on Monday morning. Our office may notify the Police station to expect your application to purchase a local drivers licence as it is required by law.
The Police station is open on Monday – Thursday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. The Police station is closed on Fridays – Sunday.
